/ViCo wins the Digital Champions Award 2020
The nine-member expert jury consisted of the following persons: Beat Balzli (WirtschaftsWoche), Hagen Rickmann (Telekom Deutschland), Magdalena Rogl (Microsoft Germany), Dr. Wladimir Klitschko (ex-professional boxer and entrepreneur), Christina Burkhardt (Shiftschool GmbH), Prof. Dietmar Grichnik (University of St. Gallen), Annabelle Jenisch (TLGG Consulting), Sabine Scheunert (Mercedes-Benz Cars) as well as Dr. Hubertus Porschen (Die jungen Unternehmer, the German federal association of young entrepreneurs). The jury’s assessment criteria were the quality of the customer orientation, the digital strategy, the product quality and the business model.
Patrick Apolinarski, managing director of dimedis GmbH, comments on the award for ViCo: “We are delighted to have won two awards for our ViCo admission control system at the Digital Champions Award. This confirms that we, as a software company, are a strong partner for digital transformation even in times of crisis. ViCo has matured as a product within just a few months due to the admission control challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis. This was only possible due to the passionate commitment and the expertise of our employees. In the meantime, ViCo is making a contribution to the “new normal” in various sectors. This is proving to be a success because ViCo controls admission through acoustic and audiovisual communication and ensures that all persons admitted are wearing a face covering.”
ViCo will still be relevant even after the COVID-19 crisis ends. With the dimedis analytics package, banks, the retail sector and public buildings, in particular, are able to better understand and predict the behavior of their customers. Predictive analytics makes it possible to prevent lines of customers forming, to communicate proactively and to improve the personnel planning. Furthermore, ViCo’s screens and columns serve as an additional channel for content and advertising.
